Default Need help saving

Yes hi im having a problem and i hope that i am posting this in the right part of the forum. I am somewhat new to maya and am using it in vista. But here is my problem. Whenever i try and save my files that i moved from xp to vista, vista says that there is an error and says that it has to close maya. I can save anything else other than these files. Here is the errors that i get in the output window when i open the file and turn on all of the textures. Maybe it has something to do with it.

You have to open your images in photoshop and resave them as TIFF but with no compression ( LZW must be off in the save options window I believe. ) Just select
"none" wherever it asks for compression type.

Mental Ray does not like the kind of tiff format that you have.

You can also save your textures as targa, it would make no difference.

Have you tried rendering with those TIFF textures on objects with mental ray? I bet they don't render.

Sorry I should have been more clear. I am trying to retain comments with a custom yml file. Not with the config.yml
