Default February, 2015: Tank!

Hi all,

Sorry for not having a January contest, but things are back to normal and... here we go!

This month's contest is a hard-surface modeling challenge, to create a military tank. This can be based on a real world vehicle, or could be retro/future. Also is not required to have treads, could have an alternate form of mobility... just as long as the overall silhouette feels like a dangerous mobile cannon!

Good Luck!

edit: Winners Announced!

The deadline is the end of the month, although I've noticed, that often entries get accepted after that, because Alex doesn't post the winner until a week or so into the next month.

So I am wondering, It used to be that you would see a lot of progress post in this. Are we supposed to not post progress any more? Do we just post the final images/renders? I just noticed that both in the 3d and 3d contest there are not a lot of progress post any more? Have things changed?

Default I'm in

This challenge is going to be awesome! I am very curious about this work in progress policy. Should we post WIP images/videos/turntables or not?

Default 3D Tank with Element 3d

Hey All! This is my first post. I created this futuristic tank using nothing but mask shapes from AE extruded into Element. It is very limiting but, it is also challenging. ( Element only allows 10 mask shapes to be extruded) Colors/textures created with pro shaders no photoshop.! And a BIG shout out to Josh Burns for teaching me this concept! I know i'm gonna get my butt kicked but hey, it was fun to make......

Default High Poly Progress

I just finished my high poly version of my my model. I decided to add a modified The M153 DUAL CROW for my weaponry. Now to move on to creating the Low Poly and begin texturing.
