Default January, 2013: Weapon Sheet

Hi all... Happy new year!!

Let's start off the year with some weapons. Design a weapon sheet with 20 weapons. These are orthographic designs that must be in color. Feel free to name each one. Keep it clean and professional with an easy to read layout. Four rows, five weapons per row.

5 Axes, 5 Swords, 5 Maces and 5 Bows.

Good Luck!

edit: winners announced!

Sorry to be a noob, but i do not know what an orthographic design is. Would someone kindly explain what it is please? An example of one would be super. Thank you.

For weapons, orthographic usually means just straight-on side view without any perspective. If you just search "weapon design" on Google Images you'll get hundreds of examples.

This is a fun prompt, and will make an awesome portfolio piece! Might sit out 3D and do this instead : )

Does it have to be axes, swords, bows, and maces, or can it be 5x of another category of weapon? such as firearms, future weapons, etc, and does it have to be a hand held weapon or can it be a non-vehicle weapon, such as a cannon, artillery, unmanned turret, and other things of that nature?

@ Gregory75; In layman’s terms the “orthographic” view is any combination of the perspective views. Here’s an example of a design I made for the deviant contest a while ago.

Default Size

There is a size to the image, and it has to be all in one picture, or can be 2 distinct sheets?
Im worried about the details on the designs, thats why I am asking.
Thank you so much in advance

Default First Weapon

Alex, I noticed in the attachment manager that when you upload a JPG file the maximum width allowed is 940 pixels. I believe if you use the Insert Image option you can go bigger, but I could be wrong. Right now my individual weapons are being painted at high res, then a copy is saved at 72 dpi @ 240x600 pixels. If I can get away with it, my final sheet will be 1200 x 2400 pixels. That would mean each weapon would be this size (see image below) and detail is mostly intact. If we're stuck at the 940 pixels wide limit, then my image would be about 78% smaller than what we see here, which should still be OK. Good luck!

Default Question about submissions so far.

Nice submissions so far.

I am new here. Looking forward to getting to know the community here.
If it is OK. to ask. I was wondering how long those submissions took to complete?

Thanks
