Default November, 2012: Lava Creature

Hi all...

So back to characters and creatures! This month, create a Lava Creature whose body incorporates molten lava and rock. The creature has no other rules beyond lava, so feel free to explore bipeds, quadrapeds, dragons, demons, etc. Up to you...!

This month's theme: Lava Creature

Good Luck!

edit: winners announced!

Hi Alex,

Just wanted to make sure. How many entries can we have? I don't want to be accidentally disqualified for not being sure, sometimes I get carried away cause I get too excited about the contests.

This is an excellent theme, the moment I read it I had so many ideas.

Laromus,

technically you can post as many as you want, why wouldn't you.
You will NEVER be disqualified for this.
Though Alex does "prefer" you to post only one or two. Just choose the one you like the most.
(As stated in the contest rules)

But aside from the rule, you don't really want to throw out images like that.
Just pick one and really work on it. Get into it and refine and renew, that's what makes a great image at the end. You'll have a real fighting chance that way.
I too have posted half done pieces in the past and I can tell you it really isn't worth the time.

You can even post your WIPs on cgsociety and ask for feedback.
One great image has a good chance of winning.
Many "ok" images have none.

Good luck
Alex

Default First look

Hi Guys! This is my first trial, so take it easy. Please let me know what i can do better.
I just took some inspiration from the shapes of the bodies from Pompeii.

Thanks
