Guys, what's the meaning of the 'edge'?

Is it the place outside the forest, like we're on the top of the cliff & see the forest below or just wherever?

I googled it & found some picture of empty space/area near the forest. Like a river bank that has a background of the forest. That's the meaning of Forest's Edge?

Yeah I think you got it. For some reason I immediately thought of the scene in LoTR when the gang is going into that forest where the ents are. There is a distinct edge where the trees start.

@ andantyn0, thanks for the kind reply, buddy. I, TOO, imagine the concept of LoTR in my mind. But suddenly, I remember about another else such as Narnia and then traveling far-far away into Dagobah from Star Wars.

Anyway, I'll post my works soon. But I'm afraid that's a long time ago works, not my currently project & I'm totally disagree with myself whenever I want to post it against someone who really make the piece start from 0.

Maybe I'll post more than just one image to this contest, the old ones & the new ones; because I love nature themes above it all.

First of all, this is a collaboration work with artists at my college years ago, in early 2010. Names of them are too many, but the one that in my mind was called 8Bee. it's a concept art for a game company such as Bandai. But I'm not involved as a team member, just an outsider; freelancer. I'm still junior atm.

This piece titled The Temple of Oblivion (in Japan: 忘却の神殿)

人間が作り出した神など自然の前では無力だ.
(In front of God and man-made nature is powerless)



The background story is about civilization war that held in the dark age. I used Photoshop, with my old graphic tablet intuos3 (now change into intuos4 & Cintiq). Thanks for viewing, I know it's a past work.

Later, I'll post WIP of my new one.

Q : Why post this?
A : Obviously, because I ran out of time several challenges ago, I could not post something I had in mind.
