Default February, 2011: Candlelit

Hi all...

So here is something that allows you to really choose your subject matter. This could be a character, a room, a desk, a church, a hallway, etc... up to you! The only requirement has to do with lighting.

This month's theme: Candlelit

Good Luck!

edit: winners announced!

Default Question about 3d contest entries.

I consider my primary focus as a 3d Maquette artist. It is something I fell in love with in school, and I was wondering if maquettes are an acceptable form of 3d work for contest entries. Of course I would take great care in photographing the piece from different angles and such. I was simply curious because while I have seen many digital sculpture entries for past contests, I cannot remember seeing any physical 3d sculptures. I appreciate your time, and any help you can offer. (reposting since I noticed I had posted in the 2d forum rather then the 3d.. that's what I get for bouncing around looking at the past entries)

I'm pretty sure it needs to be a digital medium....

That would be a shame, but I don't see the harm in doing so.. Worst thing that could happen is that I don't win..Least I can get my stuff looked at in a respective manor right?
