Default January, 2011: The Collector

Hi all,

So seeing a commercial on TV for a show called Hoarders has inspired this month's theme. Although you need not focus on those types of people, but anyone who collects something. A warrior with a belt of skulls, a child with a jar of fireflies, a wizard surrounded by piles of books... up to you!

This month's theme: The Collector

Good Luck!

edit: winners announced!

Exclamation Otaku?

In Japan, we say it... Hikokomori or those who don't know what's hikokomori, simplified it to OTAKU. No offense for any otaku. Because I'm... not an otaku, but love to buy some stuff related to figure.

Don't know otaku? Ask Lord Google.

@ JSanga87 : You bet, mate. They're just as you said, afraid of outside... dunno why, but if you know about anime Welcome to N.H.K (sorry to mention this, anime fans out there) you'll see a ton of garbage inside their house. Seriously, I can't live without a clean environment, but they seems okay.

Anyway... end of discussion, I'll throw my idea on the W.I.P section. We'll see if this month, I'll be TGW Award Collector for sure.

best of luck Hayato.

i have one question, is it against the rules if i make a 2D art based on a 3D concept, since i can easily adjust the frame, perspective etc.?

Thanks, Roc!

I think it's not against the rules for using 3D as a composition to the 2D art as long 80% or more should be drawn like 2D, it's not a final render in 3D. That's my opinion basically from what I've heard from people asking this kind of things.

P.S I always using 3D for the point of perspectives or maybe just for blocking shape. Using a tool like Google Sketch-up sometimes bring a lot of capabilities and also focal length camera utilities in Maya.
