I definitely have to buy that book, but yes... it's quite expensive.

Wow I REALLY like both topics this month, they allow me to play on the dark side ;-) It has been years since I actually finished an entry into one of these contests, but I am planning on entering both the 2d and 3d this month. I have even carved out time just for these, I am so excited to try at least, and it is always fun. More than anything I eager to see everyone's take on this particular topic. There are so many angles, directions and concepts flowing through my own mind, I cannot even dream of where everyone else will go.

wow, I never heard of that city. Very very interesting, so many Idead to paint something. Hope I find time to do a painting or some sketches for fun.

Wow, nice topic! I grew up in near Kowloon Wall city before it was demolished and turned into a park. My Grandpa always said, don't EVER go in there! Now I wished I had gone in to see. :"(

Don't forget to look at the Bloodsport movie by Van Damm, there was a whole scene that took you inside one of the allies.

Also, the traditional Chinese characters for Kowloon walled city is: 九龍城寨
You might find more references using those characters.
