Angry Skipped parts over in introduction to chara modeling tutorial

I hate to say this, but there have been a few times a DVD will say "before I begin I just did so and so" i dunno how is suppose the people is going to figure out what should be done.
There is a big problem in the way that gnomon teach how to make this and that, and never in my life im going to buy any kind of tutorial from gnomon again.
Srry the bad english and the anger that i have. im pretty disapointed of the DVD that i buy some days ago.
aahhh and the dvd was introduction to character modeling if anyone want to get one advice.

I dont know what you mean exactly since I havent watched it myself. But perhaps you should get back to the dvd you bought when you learned more about the softwares they use?
I mean you have bought it so dont throw it away

I do understand it can be frustrating.
but if they are explaining every thing they do as a tutorial my guess would be that it would take too much time for them to fit in a dvd.
I know gnomonworkshop have introduction dvds to some of the programs they use.
But I dont know how experienced you are if you are a proffessional or a new starter.
I wish you good luck on your modelling!

I understand your pain, watching through most of the Gnomon vids I've noticed many gaps. I've had to combine multiple DVDs to accomplish what I needed.

If you want to learn character modeling, just learn ZBrush. I'd highly suggest 3 of the vids here on Gnomon, but of course there are tons of documented material on these things.

Intro to Zbrush
Character Modeling for Next Gen Games
Digital Sculpting the Human Anatomy with Zac Petroc (anything by Zac is king)

With those 3, I guarantee you will learn 3d chara modeling however there are gaps.

Gap 1: They don't quite explain how to add clothes from Maya in for the Character Modeling for Next Gen Games... but it is simple. You export a low .obj of your anatomy from ZBrush into maya, model in a super low poly shoe that fits your chara. Import back in and add as a subtool. Continue sculpting.

Gap 2: This is the major one. Topology. There is an Overview of Topology on Gnomon, but it doesn't solve the major complication with retopo, which is the theory. Its hard to learn how to retopo, but I'd highly suggest these free tutorials
