Default play back problem

hey just purchased character modeling and texturing, and just purchased a dvd rom. when i insert dvd to play it opens but not in quicktime. So I do not have any play, stop, fast foward, ect.... ect

Please help if you know whats up with this

it opens in a director projecter, which houses the quicktime. the controls are probably there, but you may need to set the res higher on your display to see the bottom of the screen. i have a laptop that does the same thing. i think the gnomon dvds require a res of 1280x1024.

The quicktime files are in a hidden folder on the disk. If all else fails, do a google on how display hidden folders and run the quicktime files manually.
