Painting WIP

I keep getting mad at myself for not putting my graphics tablet to use. Putting college before my art has made me cranky and less fulfilled, and plus my skills have been languishing for lack of use. So, last night I decided to just paint and forget about all of the work I had to do for my classes. Who needs weed when one can just paint or draw?

So anyway, here's what I've been working on. I don't paint frequently at all. I mostly draw. I'm interested to know how I'm doing so far.

Not bad, you have a good eye for the shape and overall form, but when painting you should not be using lines other than to block out the main shapes. Now you have the shapes right try painting over this image only using blocks of light and dark.
