Guys this is probably one of my first real scenes that i am working on and although i know it needs work i want to get opinions from people if possible please.

Hi guy!
It is a cool image, but as you said, there are some things to do.

1st: the fire. the glow is too intense.
2nd: try to reduce the candles incandescence (using a ramp -> black or dark colour on the back, and light orange/yellow on top)
3rd: There are no shadows on your scene.
4th: I think the cauldron and chains will be better with more specularity.
5th: Add some smoke on the cauldron.
6th: Try to add a small lightfog coming from the sky.

i think you are right to be honest there are quite a few things i need to sort i am debating about doing it over again and hey its all practice

well i didnt start again but i have made a few changes, just trying to work out a way of making an explosion/plume rising from the cauldron now.

bit of a change with some env-fog, not sure i like it yet some opinions would be great please.

Hi, nice changes!
the previous image is better because your scene is an interior scene. So the fog is no longer needed.

I agree about the fog i was having a play really to see how it looked.
Here are some slight changes still.

one of the images seems to have a shadow i cant remove, i have told it not to cast shadows but it still is which is annoying.
