Default Digital Sets (1-3) question

So I'm looking at the 'Digital Sets' videos:

http://www.thegnomonworkshop.com/sto...ing-and-Camera
http://www.thegnomonworkshop.com/sto...-and-Texturing
http://www.thegnomonworkshop.com/sto...nd-Compositing

And the video says Autodesk Maya. I'm a Max user and I'm just wondering if they techniques as they are discussed in Maya are something I can follow along with for Max or if it goes into gritty detail on Maya-focused aspects of modeling/rendering/etc.

Since I'm trying to be a better max user but also learn compositing, I'm not sure of the value in these purchases if I will spend all of my time just trying to understand what's being done as again, I'm a Max user.

I appreciate any info!

Man, why is it so difficult to get questions answered regarding DVDs? I've asked questions before on here and in emails to no reply. Do the owners not check these to see if people need info on their DVDs?

These tutorials are more of the hole workflow then step by step modeling.
so you should still get lots out of it working in 3ds .
Please take what in saying with a grain of salt as i haven't watched them in a few years.
What compositing software do you use or want to learn ?
gnomon has some good dvds on compositing in shake and nuke.

I'm probably going to watch them in the next day or so and i will watch them with working in 3ds in mind so i will try to give you a better answer.

Default Digital Sets 1 3 question

if you want to be able to record and watch simultaneously you need a dual card. Unfortuntly there are only dual DVB-T cards so you may need to buy two digital DVB-S/2 cards, and this requires two separate aeriels

Thank you for replying, I am very much looking forward to your next response. And I just like the general information that seems to be presented in the 'Digital Sets' DVDs, but I need to make sure that I can understand them, instead of deciphering what may be referencing only specific intricacies of Maya. I guess if I can follow along in Max with a general understanding of what's going on, I'd be happy.
