looking good man, can't wait to see the finished product. Although it does look like some of the textures are a bit stretched, especially on the cirular walls, if you catch my drift.

Yup, I saw that too, I'm still building up the textures, and plan on fixing some of that stretching ya see in the port holes. That's also just the 'color' portion of the shader, still have a long way to go with bumps spec etc.

I'm trying to do this in a new way. One of the great things about this contest is the ability to try new ideas/techniques out without having money on the line. The textires for the most part are all going on a 4k map, something I haven't really tried in the past. I hope I can nail it.

You may also want to consider procedurals, especially for specularity. There are many uneven parts or rough parts, but they all have a uniform shine to them.

I'm working with a PSD plugged into a Phong shader.

Here's a new update:

Added a few tentacles from an octopus. Still want to do a bit more, tell some more story here, but not 100% sure where to go.

Latest revision, added some choral/underwater plants, also some piping on the right side, I'd still like to dress it up some more, but I'm pretty happy with the render as it is now.

Changed up the coral, and added some other vegitation, as well as some fishies. Any thoughts?

The UV layout and color pass for the hull.
