Talking Need tips to get started.

I have always had a interest in art/design but have never been good when it comes to putting pen to paper so never went any further with my wants and desires regarding it.

After many years of using computers and driving myself nuts looking at 2D and 3D images that are stunning and i dont know how they are done i have reached the point where i must know and learn it for myself!

I am currently sick and spend a lot of time at home so i want to utilize this time and become more creative but i have no idea where to start or what to use as a starting block, ie software and projects to work up to so any suggestions from A to B would be greatly apreciated.

well do you want to learn basic 2d or 3d? If you have little art experience I'd recommend looking into the 2d dvds the gnomon workshop provides. Character and vehicle design as well as basic rendering techniques are offered.
