Default Portal WIP

Hi all

Here is my Portal challenge WIP.

The idea is a post-apocalyptic setting. There used to be a thriving technological advanced society - but it is all gone. All that remain are remnants of a bygone era - slowly consumed by nature.

A man set of to see where the tracks through his village leads and finds an old portal...

<- takes a seat to watch the progress

I really want to see what youll come up with. No crits at the moment.
Is it just me or does it have Star Wars feel?

hmm - now that you mention it...

I based it on a jet engine ...but it does have some similarities to the designs in the SW prequels.

I just need some input - i started with more geometry - a broken bridge structure that the track would've been on and some suggestions of buildings - but it spoils the desolate feeling im trying to get... dont know what to do here.
