Default Bump mapping and ambient occlusion

What is the normal work flow for AO and bump maps?
I tried assigning the bump as displacement and baking the AO.
It worked but seems abit clumsy .
So next i will try mix20layer and see if i can get it to work with AO and bump map.
I will let you know how that works out or not lol.
Any tips would be welcome .

Hey, I'm really new to Mental Ray, but I had a thought I'd throw out there. Would a layered shader work with Ao piped in one way and a bump piped in another?

Actually, I don't know if this is what you're looking for, but I just tried the layered shader approach and it didn't work out, but I piped the MR AO Node into the ambient slider on a lambert, and plugged a checker pattern into it's bump and it rendered fine, bumps and all...
Hope this helps,
J
