You should check out the perspective dvd by Scott Robertson. Might also want to check out his other stuff too.

Also check out Practical Light and Color DVD by Jermey Vickery.

Don't have it yet, but I'm betting that Color Theory dvd is something to look into as well.

As for the figure, you're going to have to look else where cause the only one Gnomon has is about Dinosaur anatomy.

These are all dvd's that cover basic fundamentals.

Then you'll want to invest in Ryan Church, Iain McCaig, and Feng Zhu dvds. I own a bunch of Gnomon dvds and these three artists are the best.

I agree with Emperor, those are excellent Dvds, Especially the persp dvds from Robertson. far better than most books on persp, I'm always hoping he'll release more on the topic.

If you're looking for books outside of Gnomon, Bridgman's Complete Guide to Drawing From Life (isbn 0806930152) is excellent. treats the body in planes and masses, goes into great theory about the arms as pulleys, and joint types. Amazing for both 2d and sculpting.

Joseph Sheppard Anatomy A complete guide for artists is good also, if you need detailed info on muscles, bones, how they connect. Also amazing.

Burne Hogarth's stuff is great, but his style of writing can put you to sleep pretty fast. Lots of excellent infomaiotn in there. The one on fabric and wrinkles is great.

there's a lot of great stuff on life drawing out there, from Betty Edwards, T.S. Jacobs, his student Anthony Ryder, etc...

ahh, you should also check out Andrew Loomis. those are older and out of print and pricey, but I think everyone who's ever read 'em can agree that there's something for everyone....real classics.

Hiya.

We have plans to further develop our drawing/anatomy library in 2009, with a new anatomy series currently under development for release hopefully by this summer.
