Default Traditional works

Um, ok, so newbie to this site. I am an artist, and Im going back to art college in sept, after a 10 year break... I work in traditional media but am trying to get into digital, its just difficult... I actually prefer not having a delete button, it means I have to try harder...

Welcome to the forum...

I like your works, remind me of some croatian naive art I've seen lately.

Regarding traditional vs. digital, having an undo button on the other hand gives you the chance to try different approaches in less time. I personally feel that I'm learning faster since switching from paper to digital canvas.

You'll get use to it.

Using a drawing tablet is annoying at first, but stick with it and it will be easy to use.

Consider buying Ryan Church's DVD for Intro to Corel Painter. It's a good dvd for those new to Corel.

The more you work with digital, you'll start seeing its benefits. You'll get pieces done faster, correcting mistakes will be easier thanks to undo and layers, with layers you can experiment different things and if you hate it, no problem just delete the layer. In programs such as painter, you can rotate the canves with ease.

There's a lot of pros the more you dig into it.

The only con I see for me personally is printing.

Thanks Mr emperor Sir!

I will get a copy of that dvd, and give it another go. I still prefer traditional, but we are living in a digital age, so I must move with the times...

Thank you for the advice *bows low*

And thank you DeSoto, I have had no Croatian influnce so its interesting that my work reminds you of that, I may have to check it out. thank you for your kind words.
