Default Movie Texture

I started doing things for the first time:
(1) I rendered a scene for the first time (a spaceship)
(2) I created an rendered a four-legged robot for the fist time
(3) I made a face for the first time and I have rendred it too (but now movements)
(4) I created and animated a train for the first time too.
Those things you can see on the web if you search for DNA_wire in Yahoo videos

Now I need to use movie texture for the first time but no luck.
Can someone let me know step by step as to how to load an avi or an image sequence to a polygon face or to a nurbs plane

The help is much appreciated.

Love to all

which soft do you use? maya? max? other?

If you work in Maya, first you must render your animation image per image named properly (image001.iff , image002.iff, etc.). On the hypershade window, create a material and a movie file.
Assign the movie file to the material and go select your animation.
This is the thing to do if you want your animation to be read onto Maya.
hope it helps
