Default mirrored UVs are causing inverted Normal maps in Maya

Can somebody offer a suggestion as to how to solve the problem of getting correct Normal Maps with mirrored UVs (like they do In Games). I have already layed out my UVs and sculpted a high res mesh from a low res mesh and do not want to have to redo my UVs. Any help would be greatly appreciated

ummm... you said sculpted...are you using Zbrush? if so there is a preset you need to set so the normal maps are flipped vertically automatically in the normal map generator. if its just in maya why not just flip the normals? or in photoshop flip the map?
