Default z Brush to max

Hi ive been a member but never posted
so hello to everyone

i recently bought a dvd from the Gnomo workshop. "character moeeling for production". It seemed very informative but at the same time it assumed too much of the users skills.. and went too quickly with out explaining why thins were been done .. dont get me wrong.. the modelling techniques in max and z brush were spot on.. what wasnt explained .. was how u put the hi def version from zbrush on the max model.. now i have watched most of it and still no success.. i dont know if im not following it properly... this has led me to look for tuts on normal mapping and displament maps... i have found one way that works.. but i would rather find ount how it was done in the tutorial..

any help that can be given would be much appretiated

Zbrush central as a massive collection of threads about generating displacement maps and normal maps.
but if I'm not mistaken in that dvd he brought in a high ploy obj and used polyboost plug in to reconstruct the typology...
