Hi Everyone, there are definitely some fantastic entry's this month, but as they say its the taking part that counts... in other words I don't think I have a snowballs chance in hell this month

This is My Grasshopper Knight, If I'd had more time I'd of added a dragon fly

Grasshopper (Knight), Aplatacris colorata….
Weevil (Mount), Eupholus bennetii…
Tortoise beetle (Shield), Aspidomorpha miliaris:
Horshead Grasshopper (Lance), Proscopia scabra…

Default Insectoid

And here's my entry. Never work as hard on this comp untill this character. I did the whole process in 3d and this guy is ready for rigging and then animation. Cant say if im going to do that, but i learned a bunch. (Creature done in maya, and maya is new to me)

Sofware: 3dsmax (basemesh and UV's)
Zbrush: sculpt and texture polypaint.
Maya: intergration, shaders and render.
Photoshop: adjustment layers. levels, exposure, grain ect.

Hope you like it and check out my wip thread: http://forums.thegnomonworkshop.com/...ed=1#post28534

Default Insectiod

Hey everyone, this is my first entry in the 3D image challenge contest. This image was created using Zbrush and Photoshop. I am still somewhat new to zbrush and not that fast at working with 3d yet; but I thought it would be fun to give it a try and see where I end up. Here is my entry for this month’s theme Insectiod.

Default Insectoid

Hello fellow contestants. I am seeing a lot of really good entries this month. It makes me wonder if I should even enter this second insectoid. It didn't really turn out the way I envisioned it because I ran out of time. Oh well, here it is anyway. I did most of the work in Zbrush and then composited it in 3ds Max and Photoshop.

I wasn't able to finish mine, I should have started much earlier in the month. I ended up spending most of my time watching how-to tutorials and messing things up and having to start over, but that ended up being good too. I haven't used zbrush since college so it was about time I opened it again.

First time i glanced through the different entries, i didn´t really see too much of your pice, it didn´t really fall into my eye´s!
But then today, when i was looking at them all again, I stoppet at your´s and wondered why i didn´t see what an amazing job u have done, the last time i looked at it -.-

Perhaps it´s not one of those works, that pop wright into the eye´s, but when u stop to look at it, then u really notice how well it is done

I like it a lot, really nice entry! Thumbs up from here!
