January, 2016: D&D Gnome

Hi all...

Happy New Year everyone! This month's theme is character focused being a Gnome. Not the garden gnomes, however, with the little red hats... but a d&d inspired gnome. Any character class is acceptable: hunter, warrior, mage, rogue, etc. Your entry can be a full body study, or more of a portrait, either with or without a background environment.

Note: The word Gnomon has nothing to do with Gnomes. :P

I sadly did not have time to finish mine, again..... But at least I learned some stuff, and that is what counts in the end.... Ok the prizes would be nice to get too, but ;D

Here is my D & D Gnome. This was my first attempt at modeling a character but I was hoping it would turn out much better. Unfortunately, literally everything went wrong and I was unable to texture or pose my model. Great job to all the other entries!

Last minute entry. Decided it would be a good to try out substance painter. Unfortunately I couldn't get the textures to cooperate in Mental Ray, so the composite had to be done using viewport screen captures in PS. Other than that it was a fun experience.
