i made this shield a year ago or so. it was my entry for another monthly contest here on gnomon with a semiliar theme but my entry was to late and was not judged. i hoped that maybe i get a chance this time because i stil like my idea and the shield deserve a chance. i mean its not just a random fitting model it was specifically made for this contest, i was just to late so i hope it counts as entry.

my idea was to mearge defensive and offensive in a shield. so this shield can attack with a skeleton snake wich magikally emerge from the crystal in the middle of the shield.

after 2 or 3 years iam participating i kinda figured that you dont like my overly photoshopped entrys so this time i give you just a render.

First time entering a competition, it was really enjoyable to do and I hope you like my work.

This is my entry for this challenge. It was a struggle and I could not fulfill my vision, but I tried my best. I would need some courses to get better, hope this will give me the chance.

I made the hole as a gameplay feature. It is very offensive shield and it is for a villain boss who is very big and strong (think of someone like lich King from WoW). The hole is his “achilles heel”, the one point through which the players can wound him.
