Red face My entry

This is my first 3d drawing and my first entry into a art competition I could really do with winning acouple of books as they are way to expensive for me to buy.
Anyway here it is...

Good luck everyone!!

Hey guys,

Here's my entry. Done in Maya and some post work in Photoshop.
I must admit it was hard to come up with an idea for this one. Somehow my brain led me to this. I had a good laugh. Hope you guys like.
Cheers.

THANKS A LOT wilex! I saw that you told BooTy to enter his work that you saw on CGSociety. I was crossing my fingers and hoping that he would just ignore you. But it looks like he took your advice and registered here today so he could enter it. He "just finished" his piece that he could have been working on for months, and had no idea about this contest...anyway, it is a good piece, he will be getting some booty for sure. Thanks for opening your big mouth wilex. Looks like I busted my butt the last 3 weeks for nothing.

This is what came to my mind when I thought of lost in space; This and Dr. Smith and the Robinsons! (The old sixties TV show)!

No post rendering work! I try not to do that in my 3D productions. I've often noticed space Art images are "fogged" up a bit. From an art point of view this can look very cool, but after looking at photos from telescopes, shuttle and moon missions I've never seen any fog effect, just clear, crisp images, that's what I tried to do here. I hope the piece is a success!
