Default norse mythology

Hello
here is my contribution for this month.

This is Jorl The Giant getting into trouble when he follows the ńlvaljus (light of the fairies) into the great depth of Hodmimirs forest where he forgets the dawn and turns into stone.

He wear the sheilds and the skulls of his conquered enemies as jewellery.

This would be a really nice painting askur, if you forget those lens flares...
You could paint that fairy light easily with your skills!

SkÝblanir
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

In Norse mythology, SkÝblanir (the name can be anglicized as SkÝdbladnir, SkÝdhbladhnir or SkÝthblathnir) is the ship of Freyr. The ship was made by Dvalin and his brothers, dwarves and sons of ═valdi. It was made at the request of Loki, and was given to Freyr as part of Loki's reparation for the theft of Sif's golden hair. The ship was big enough to hold the whole of the host of Asgard, and whenever the sails were hoisted, a fair wind followed. It could travel over both land and sea. According to the Ynglinga saga, SkÝblanir was made by so many parts and with such ingenuity that it could be folded like a cloth and carried in one's pouch.

Three Rings for the Elven-kings under the sky,
Seven for the Dwarf-lords in their halls of stone,
Nine for Mortal Men doomed to die,
One for the Dark Lord on his dark throne
In the Land of Mordor where the Shadows lie.
One Ring to rule them all, One Ring to find them,
One Ring to bring them all and in the darkness bind them
In the Land of Mordor where the Shadows lie.

no wait ... wrong mythology...

Thor you douche ... that's not funny ... making me look like a fool!

Well, I finally found some time since my first and only entry back in June 2008 "Street Vendor"...

Askur: Great character design there.
Mavor: Wow, great colors and idea! I chose an underwater scene with Ran, goddess of storms, wife of Aegir, but after seeing your palette, i wonder if i chose the right environment

Good luck to you all!

Thank you for your generous words, ricardo.sa. I think an aquatic scene would be awesome!
