Default cube Fog 2D projection question

hey hey ,

i am not sure if this is the right place to ask questions about tutorials and such, so i thought i would take the chance . i was following along with Alex's tutorial on his demon screensaver and he made a shading network with a volume primitive to create atomosphereic smoke in his scene , i was wondering if anyone knows the connections he used. There was a 2d projection node plugged in to ramp to get the smoke at the bottom of the cube amongst other things, i have tried many different connections but still cant get the same effect..

anyone have any tips/direction on this?

many thanks guys..

heres my attempt at the correct connections and a render of the result.. its ok but theres just not enough gradient in the "Y" direction and the scale seems problematic .. any suggestions?
