April, 2008: Magical Fury

Hello all..

here we go... April's theme is 'Magical Fury'.

I don't know about you, but I always love seeing the different ways in which games represent how wizards, mages, sorcerers, druids and so on use magic to create death and destruction. The Diablo games + Blizzard cinematics have some pretty cool representations of this, and after visiting Blizzard today I was inspired to have this be the theme.

So in short, this month's theme calls for you to create an image that represents a magical attack.

am I the first? I made something today, hope you like it. I'm new here, so I want to ask - is it possible to post another piece later during the month? I'm working on another picture and I must admit I like it maybe a little more than this one..

According to the posting rules that Alex created try to limit postings to one or two..and if you want to win you'll need to spend quite a bit of time on it..review past contests and look at the level of quality they bring..look at hammajamma's work or sketch monkey's work from last month and you'll get a clue what kind of standard the artists set for each contest..just a suggestion at the end of the month pick your best work and submit it..hope this helps!

re dcreierson: thanks for the advices, I'll try to do my best.. I was just excited when I saw the theme, so that's the reason why I made it this fast - usually I spent a lot more time on my works..

And welcome to the contest...it's a challenge to improve your work considerably when you look at the talent of all the artists here..I noticed my work to present was considerably boring so off to challenge myself to present something striking
