Cool Behemoth

Behemoth, not a hippo , not a dinosaur but, something in between.
I hope to finish it by tomorrow.
Can't wait to rig this puppy and make him run.
Softimage and Photoshop so far.

Default I think I know what you mean....

Kaleen. I think you are referring to the elusive Behipposaur, now extinct.

Good luck finishing it; it's looking good so far! I hope it's historically accurate though!

Cheers.

Hi guys,

this is my entry:

I found this Bible passage at Wikipedia, which gave me an idea of the creature:

Behold now behemoth, which I made with thee; he eateth grass as an ox.
Lo now, his strength [is] in his loins, and his force [is] in the navel of his belly.
He moveth his tail like a cedar: the sinews of his thighs are wrapped together.
His bones [are as] strong pieces of brass; his bones [are] like bars of iron.
He [is] the chief of the ways of God: he that made him can make his sword to approach [unto him].
Surely the mountains bring him forth food, where all the beasts of the field play.
He lieth under the shady trees, in the covert of the reed, and fens.
The shady trees cover him [with] their shadow; the willows of the brook compass him about.
Behold, he drinketh up a river, [and] hasteth not: he trusteth that he can draw up Jordan into his mouth.
He taketh it with his eyes: [his] nose pierceth through snares.

I tried to make him a mixture of a rhino, an elefant and a hippo. I thought, making him a stone statue, which could be worshiped, would fit nicely...

High Rez: http://www.derwanja.de/Behemoth_big.jpg

Progs used:

Modeling: 3ds Max 9, Mudbox, ZBrush 3.1
Texturing: Photoshop CS3, , Bodypaint R2, ZBrush 3.1
Compositing: Fusion 5.1
X-Frog and the Ivy-Generator for the plants

Good luck to everyone!!

It's Halloween. Trick or treat time...
Little "innocent" girl asks for "treat" and big fat demon named Behemoth, which plays role of "trick" in the company.
I hope you have got some sweets...
