Default Krampus entry Ingoro

Hi guys,

It's been really long since I entered the contest so I figured I should give it a shot once again. Put my own personal style in the picture and I hope you guys enjoy it, also happy new years!

Default Mischevious Krampus

My take on the Krampus is a less monstrous one. Santa's gone soft and gives presents to the bad boys and girls now so Krampus follows after and takes them back.

Bleurgh! So I bought a graphics tablet. 46 and I bought a tablet. Never too old huh!?! Ahh well I always promised myself I would start getting back into my creatures and story ideas and this forum looked a brilliant place to start. First go on my tablet and to be honest it's a bit ropey but I was going for the artistic angle to convey a frightened child........ Did I get it?!? More hours will need to be spent on this to get it into a lifelike project so don't judge me... no wait, do judge me I NEED those DVDs. Shamless I know.

PKArts great job man! One critique: The placement of Krampus's far hand holding the branch...the silhouette of it looks rather...well, it might be better to reposition it away from the beltline if you know what I mean. haha The image looks great though. Good luck!

debitus pretty badass composition! Good luck to you as well!

Thumbs up

haha thank you Neeqs!! Yeah when I painted it, I was like oh this could look like something else :P But I wanted the branches to point in the direction of the child to hold the composition together. I should have placed the hand a little higher or lower!
I really like the composition of debitus painting as well!! Next time I would place the house a little lower to make the atmosphere even more frightening
