Default September, 2015: Cobblestone Street

Hi all...

Inspired by last week's release of 'Substance Designer: Texture Creation', this month's theme is to create a cobblestone street. Use any tools of course, not limited to Substance. Your entry must be not just of the cobblestone, however, but include some street scene elements. Google clearly is full of inspiration for such a search phrase!

Good Luck!

Hello all,

My very first post.
I am new to the Gnomon forums and to ZBrush and read about this contest only 3 days ago. I've been using ZBrush for about a month now. Trying to figure things out with the help of tutorials and Google . I had a very nice concept in my head and with the help of reference pictures I was able to create some nice things. Unfortunately I could not render a proper street view correctly because all my detail would have been lost in the process so I had to improvise a bit and here is my result. And I had some weird polygon issues which I tried to fix but ZBrush kept crashing on me so I had to leave them in .

Like I said I am new to ZBrush so any tips and/or tricks are highly appreciated.

Best regards,
Pieter

ps.
These contests are great. It really inspired me and I learned a lot by wanting to make certain things and therefor had to look them up.

Congrats to the winners.

One remark though.
What was the deadline date because I see that our 1st place winner submitted his piece in October. Only 5 days ago and it's the 9th right now.
Everybody except for the winner submitted their piece by the 30th. This just doesn't seem fair.

Agreed, this was an error on our part as images are usually pulled for me on the 1st to judge, so I have no idea when they were submitted. For this month I will let it slide as we need to move on, but this won't happen again. Sorry about that. :/
