I agree bferrante, the lady looking at herself seems like she should be positioned closer to the mirror but further from the viewer. The good news it that it could probably be fixed with a simple cut and past.

I'm still working on that and I do have it on a layer but for some reason, I haven't got it right yet. I am still working on it and greatly appreciate the feedback.

I personally wouldn't worry too much over it. I can see straight away what is going off in the painting and recognize the mirror and reflections so i say use a little artistic license if it makes it more interesting.

If you do a google image search you can see Manet doing this with the reflection of the barmaid in "A Bar at the Folies Bergere", and if it's good enough for Manet I'm not going to argue.

@Bocuk: Wow! That's beautifully done, but as I understand it the contest ends 12 midnight the last day of the month. But that's a nice piece! Maybe the judges will be lenient, though I suspect the images have already been collected for judging. I don't know how it works.

But I am curious what the story is in it, Bocuk. The tiny character's hairstyle and composure is intriguing. I'd like to see more detail there (personally) as it seems the center of attention.

As I understand it, the contest goes from whenever the theme is announced until midnight the last day of the month. Timezone is irrelevant. It's just midnight wherever you are on earth.

usually they announce when the contest is closed though, don't they? so is it open till then?

what exactly are you saying in that piece the reflection matches up
