Default Body Reference Pictures

im want to make my first human and i need a good picture as a reference since i havent taken any anatomy classes. id also like to hear about experiences of making humans...

like if you use a 3D model for reference you do it by memory or a image plane anything...ive watched many tutorials but all the characters look too cartoony...i want a more realistic mesh

any suggestions?

A couple of good sites to also check out are...

http://www.3d.sk/
http://www.human-anatomy-for-artist.com/
http://www.female-anatomy-for-artist.com/
http://www.photo-reference-for-comic-artists.com/

They are pay sites but the images are very large and good quality. They got 8 different directions of one pose too.

Another great website that you should check out is www.OnlineLifeDrawing.com instead of 8 picture they give you a full 360 high resolution images, that you don't have to worry about downloading and you have complete control of the images with your mouse its really cool. They're prices are very reasonable too I bought a whole year for half the price of other the other sites

heres they're demo

Default I know this is an old thread

I know this is an old thread but I figured I would post this as an answer for others viewing this thread with the same issue.

Blender Cookie is a wonderful site for learning to do 3D models, obviously, esp if its in blender. They also usually allow download of the files associated with the various tutorials unless there is licensing issues. Some times you have to be a paid member sometimes not. Anywho, they have some great stuff on modeling humans, both male and females. The parent site is CG Cookie.

So I would start there.
