I like 2nd place it shows a different side from a cartoonish point of view. It has very stronng lighting in sense and I like the joy in the image. Its so different from a realistic style aswell where mostly people do that fantasy realism. I enjoy the look of 2nd place dragon rider, funny and fun in ways

whomever chooses the winners gets to be as subjective as they want. for me, that 2nd place is not really my taste. i dont really like those cartoonish or scooby-doo style artwork.
I would pick the 4th place over the others.

but like i said, its all subjective in a competition like this. each has their own merits.

also, it may be worth mentioning that the 2nd place winner has an intereseting design on the neck. a subliminal message?
