well, I`m not much of an environment artist, but I do try and paint some when the mood strikes. not sure if any of these qualify as a 'Dreamscape', perhaps in mood or atmosphere, dunno,
but - here they are, hope you guys enjoy `em.

Chuck Mate- No offense, but it kinda looks like you are carpet bombing the contest with past works. I think many of us have old works that could fit under this topic, but I feel that entering those defeats the purpose (and joy) of these contests. Please correct me if I am wrong.

Littlewati- Nice work, I really enjoy the surreal qualities. The only weakness I see is the water. It feels a bit rough compared to your other rendering in the piece.

it seems like there`s this silly debate every time. over and over.
so, I`ll say it again -
there`s no rule stating that no past work can be submitted, or that the challenge requires a participant to create something specifically for it. there`s no limit - that I know of - to the number of works one can enter, either.

and if the judges are against posting old work - then they don`t have to pick any of `em, or even consider them to be judged. I`m okay with that, really.

I put these up for fun, to participate in something enjoyable with fellow artists.
I`d like to see what other artist come up with, that`s more important to me then "winning".

I won my share of challenges, thanks.

I am aware of the rules, as odd as they are. I am even aware that this debate has reoccurred several times. However there is a full month's time to create something new, and that is no doubt the intent the contest. I don't know how images are submitted to the judges, but at least make it easier for the person in charge of that by submitting only your single best for the topic.

Referring to your original post, you aren't even sure which qualify under "dreamscape". Hence my 'carpet bombing' comment. Or if you truly don't aim to win, then perhaps you could let that be known to the judges.

I'll leave it there, you are more a pro in this field than I. (I think your designs are amazing btw.) It's just my point of view, and probably that of several others.

regarding the carpet bombing deal - this month`s topic is a bit vague. Alex pointed that out here, as well. so, I wasn`t sure if any of my stuff could be considered a 'dreamscape', is all.
(hence my initial disclaimer)

but - you`re right. we do have a whole month to come up with something.
so - let`s just call my post a 'place holder' for now. I am looking down into the abyss of some vicious deadlines at the moment, but if I find the time - hopefully I can post something new.
