March, 2010: Grand Fireplace

Hey all...

Sorry for the late start! Ok... theme for this month is: Grand Fireplace.

Meaning something you would find in a castle, mansion, wizard's lair and so on. Really this just means a fireplace that you could probably stand in (but not necessarily). You are not required to put fire in it as I know that can be tricky from an fx perspective, although you could always comp something in Photoshop. So just think... if Michelangelo, Bernini or Rodin designed a fireplace, what would it look like? No pressure. Heh.

Also, this could be a lot of modeling work, so for this challenge I will allow images that are not textured with final lighting...

Wow, nice theme for this month too I m anxious to start thinking ideas for this render.. btw I have a question too, I ended up 2nd in the last contest but it´s my first time participating here, I ve received a PM announcing I got the 2nd place in the contest but have no idea about how to receive the dvds I won. Please anybody could help me here?

You will get an email or pm on who to contact with your selections - I am sure you get it Monday during the work week. To prepare I would just start jotting down the product code numbers of which ones you want
