I agree with Monkeysuncle.

Also, ZBrush is the industry standard, especially in sculpting. Blender is open-source freeware while, is good to learn concepts, does not possess the same interface.

I've been a Maya person myself but from what I know, Blender is a modeling program, and the sculpting capabilities of ZBrush are unparralleled.

The difficulty is that, when ZBrush sells licenses, they are tied directly to whichever computer they are on. Meaning you can't have floating licenses in a lab setting. And well, Blender is free.

But in conclusion - ZBrush.
