No, I haven't been on deviant too much. I do have an old account but never got into it and nothings posted on my account. I do go on there quite a bit to find reference material though, its a great resource for that. I'll try to check out your thing on there though.
In answer to your question, my influences lean more towards the draftsman side of art. Artists in animation - that's where I wanted to go until traditional animation all went CGI. My influences are Glen Kean and Milt Kaal. I'm probably like a lot of you guys in that I didn't even know something like a Wacom tablet existed until a few years ago when I was reading the art of Star Wars III and saw that Ryan Church and Feng Zu and Erik Thym (sp?) all used one and it blew my mind. That's where I got to know the Gnomon Workshop also. Love it here.

I gotta say, your entries for "Invasion" rock. Excellent work. I'm not sure which one I like the best. I love the stark nature of the first. The second is pretty cool -- giant crabs with buses for shells.
