Hi,
I purchased 6 gnomon dvds, ( the dynamic_02, 03, 04, 05, 06, 07) and later to my dismay, I found that those when view in my pc dvd rom, are blur/soft. I cant recognize the menu, since they are blur, i can hardly follow the lessons. I have contacted the gnomon admin, but so far, their help is limit to ( i told them in my mail that I am indeed using pc dvd and this issue still maintain, but the reply still the same answer..):
"Our older DVDs are standard mpeg encoded, as are used by television DVD
players.Television has a resolution of 720x480.
The program used in the DVD cannot run at less than 1024x768...
therefore,
the image has to be downrez'd to 720x480 in order to get the signal
onto a
DVD that is television playable. That is why the image gets soft.
The DVDs you mentioned from other sources are our newer titles, we now
produce our tutorials as DVD-ROMS to combat the issue, they are not
viewable
using a regular DVD player and TV setup but can only be viewed on a
computer
DVD-ROM player."
This still dest not help settle the issue....Did I miss anything? Any setting I need to do or some codec issue???:( :( I told them tat I am using pc dvd and even change my pc resoluion to 800x600, the videos still not clear.
Can anyone help?? Anyone that bought dvds from gnomon, can u guys help me up??
