Sold Out

I visit the Gnomon website a lot, for few months now and I found the Sol Out DVd to be Always SOLD OUT.

Like Dynamics 8,9, 14 or Constraint 1

Maybe someone can tell me why this dvd are sold out. Are they in Out of Production?? or something

Well it seems like Gnomon and Gnomonology are all about "LECTURES" not actual standard tutorials that we are used to.

Most of them come with no project files ! So I figured that what you have to do is get a pen and paper and take notes as they "LECTURE" us.

These instructors really know what they are talking about, but there should be a big disclamer stating that the "LECTURES" are only inteded to be listen to , not to follow along with.
That would of made things alot easier. :confused:

But to follow along with these "LECTURES" would be priceless for us who live far from GNOMON (other states/countries). And can't afford thousands of dollars to go to the school or hundred for there online School.

I beleive that they have heard these Suggestion about a milion times and it's just that Alex just chosses to provide his Training "LECTURES" with no project files.On some "LECTURES" I could understand why you wouldn't need project files ,But for the most part it blows my mind why they are not Added.:confused:

Update :What A. Alvarez should of done is made it cleare that in other to get scene files you would have to Join Gnomon online!!!!!! At least it seems that way !?! I took a stroll to http://legacy.gnomononline.com/join.php
And read this on there join page:

I don't even work for mr A. Alvarez but there you go.Spread the news Fellas you need to join to get scene files $49.00/month.

On a side note some of these training on gnomon online seem to be old.....well they still hold alot of imformation but if you have a current version of MAYA you might find some menus and icons look diffrent.And also the resolution of the older videos ...welll..look bad and blurry,very blurry .I might be siging up for the Texturing part of the coures.But updates on the new MAYA seems to be slow.

Not having project files on Purchased DVDs makes no sence at all. Not updating the website to admit to the missing files and creating a link for free download is even more amazing :eek:

I have always been loyal to gnomon tutorails, but with dvds i needed to learn soldout for months i regetably had no choice but to buy some dvds from elswhere.now i feel dirty for cheating on gnomon and probly learned some bad habits from subpar dvds.....and kinda wasted money...and time..:mad:
if theses dvds are no longer going to be sold , could u post them in free tutorails for download meaby?? plz :D ????

i have never minded not haveing scene files, i never use em anyways lol
try to do somthing abit differnt from the excact same ploy for ploy tutorail.
like the humanoid modeling dvd i didnt model a alien i did a human female.
i get more out of the dvd this way and it makes u think .

Hi all..

well, yes... the intention was to redo the lectures of the sold out DVDs, but unfortunately I'm swamped. I suppose I could put some of my older stuff on Gnomonology, but then people will complain that they're old. (even though the material is still completely valid... Maya doesn't change much year to year).

lemme think about it some more... sorry for the delay.
