So I'm doing the Maya Dynamics Outer Space Environments DVD and I'm about half way through where I'm adding an image sequence of stars to the background. I have my image sequence and it's applied to a material and assigned to the sprites. In the materials attributes once i click on "use image sequence" I get the error message below, stating that that image does not exist, trust me it exists. I tried this in two different versions of maya and I got the same error message in both.
images/stars/stars001.tga doesn't exist, node file1 //
Please Help
Thanks,

Two things.
1. Make sure you didn't accidently applied an offset to the sequence.
2. sometimes maya freaks out on "unknown" sequences. open fcheck, import sequece, then export it again in a new folder. this does sometimes the trick.
3. damn, nr.3. anyway. sure there is a pic call xxx.001 ??? the sequence strats at frame one or what is the first number of your sequence???
good luck.

When I load the dvd content I keep getting errors for textures and it keeps reading john files. Should I delete the nodes and just start building the planet
and out space like john is doing on the dvd. However keep all the textures and everything else in their respected folders...
