Drawing reflections

Can anyone give me some tips on how to draw reflections? In my case in a motorcycle helmet with a mirrored face sheild. I keep looking at examples on the internet but my attempts just look wrong, are there any general guide lines I should follow? And I'm working in pencil.

Your best option is always to draw from life, if you need to find out where your view of the helmet is located, wherever the helmet shield is the closest will be where the image will be most warped, to help yourself draw some grid lines across the shield to get a general sense of its overall shape!:)
