Hello everyone. I thought this thread would be a great way to introduce everyone along with his or her work. It can be a great way to receive helpful critiques, and meet people with like minds and interests. I look forward to meet everyone and see his or her art.

Below are some of my works, both traditional and digital. I worked primarily as a web developer for years until a month ago when I decided (to keep my sanity), that I needed a career change. Along with this career change also entailed unemployment. Which is the scariest thing on Earth believe me... But with the free time, I am currently creating a portfolio in hopes to find my dream J

As far as the technical stuff; I keep my sketchbook handy at all times so I draw and paint quite a bit. I love to mix what I create by hand with digital tools. My illustrations are created via Photoshop, Illustrator and a 4?x5? Graphire that I hopefully update this month for an Intuos.

Any comments or crits would be great :)

those sketchbook pages are very nice, I like the freedom of thought expressed in the overlapping images, mixed media (is that ballpoint?), etc

the fifth image down (with crow and worms) is my favorite of the lot

I've been trying to pay more attention to my own sketchbook lately, I'll try and post the results here sometime

yes it is ballpoint.
i really like to use them because it becomes such a comitted line.
most people dont like it because its not erasable, and that causes some to tense up...
but for me, since i know i can mess up at anytime, i dont think so much and just draw. when i draw w/ other things, i get too involve in trying to think of how i can make it good, as appose to just draw for the sake of drawing.

i would love to see your work up. along with other people. i think itll be great to have a thread that shows everyones work, even if they are just sketches and nonfinished work. i love seeing the process as much as i love the final work.
