Hi, I'm new to the forum and wanted to throw my entry into the Free DVD contest, also ask for any tips on how to improve this model. she was modeled in Max then imported to Maya and rendered using the Miss Subsurface Scattering Shader. Thanks in advance for the C&C's

any way to get more texture to the skin? I don't know your render p[latform but without texture it blends the cheeks and other facial areas together too much...

thanks rabid. i will add a bump map and see if that helps with the texture blending.

Ive been working in 3d for a while and posting to cgtalk, but not gettin much feedback as to how improve my stuff, since i used the SSS tutorial from this website i figured I would post it here and hopefully get some help from the experts on SSS here. Im having a hard time geting the ears and the nose to look correct and I think my SSS is not working on the ears, any c and c's are appreciated.

Im really new to maya, but i really like how you kept the image low poly, using texturing for things like the hair. This model seems like it would be great for a video game. Nice work!
