Why not a christmass sale on DVDs

My wife ordered me one of the DVDs which we received a week prior to Christmas, and she wasn't able to get in on the sale. I went back this morning to pick up two more DVDs and take advantage of it, and it's not showing up. I could have swore it was going to last till the 31st. I just can't see wasting money I could have saved, and decided not to buy the additional DVDs all together. I'm quite disappointed.
